Large Estate Roof Surveys
No job too big...
At Camfly Films, we are able to carry out the smallest tasks but also the biggest ones such as this large estate drone roof survey in East London.
This gigantic drone roof survey was completed in 10 hours of close aerial photography, gathering 1200 manually taken High Resolution pictures of the condition of the roof, including tiles, chimneys, flashings, roof lights, dormers and gutters.
To achieve this large estate aerial drone roof survey, method and planning are crucial. More importantly, the client or the Surveyor establishing the report must be able to find out straight away what is the location and orientation of each picture.
To make this possible, we create as many folders as necessary, dividing each section in manageable chunks, writing annotations on key pictures which in turn allow for a great efficiency and ease to analyse when sharing the report with stakeholders and contractors in charge of maintenance and repairs where necessary.

Overlapping, Scalable Pictures
Our Inspection drone is able to fly safely as close as 1.50m to the roof of the building and get detailed high resolution close-ups, that can be zoomed in up to a further 200% without any loss of quality, meaning that even on a task this scale, we will not miss any detail.
Safety for uninvolved persons, property, vehicles and structures
Safety is paramount and we operate our drones in total compliance with the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) Rules and Regulations. We are trained, qualified, certified, and authorised to conduct commercial operations in the UK Airspace. We are also fully insured with public liability up to £5M.
Camfly Films Ltd holds an OSC Operational Authorisation to operate our High End professional drones at 10 meters from uninvolved people, properties, vehicles, vessels and structures, in central London and all congested areas.
Thanks to this extended and very unique permission from the CAA, delivered to the assessed and proven safest drone operators in the UK, we can provide legally a better service than the majority of the competition while keeping safe people and property and their occupants.
