Drone Roof Survey

We are specialists in drone roof survey. Our stabilized drones are equipped with high-resolution photographic sensors making roof surveys faster, easier to operate, and safer than manned conducted surveys.

No more need for ladders and scaffolding, our aerial drones are taking off from within the property, gathering as many as necessary high-resolution pictures of the roof, featuring close-ups of any defects on tiles, chimney stacks, flashings, gutters, wood work, and even insulation problems, thanks to our Thermal camera drone.

In total safety from the ground, we can assess any area of the roof, even hidden or completely inaccessible parts, monitoring on an iPad the survey progress from the drone HD video feed, and taking pictures along the way to evaluate the works to be carried out. The client can also see "live" the condition of the roof.

We have completed many drone roof surveys for surveyors, property management companies, new home buyers and roofing companies. No job is too small or too big, we are operating drone roof surveys either on private residential, large warehouses and public buildings.
For vast areas, we can map the whole surface of the roof, delivering cm scale phgotographic details regardless of the size of the building.

  -  Thermal inspection to diagnose insulation problems.
  -  No scaffolding and ladders required

Roof Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging is the ideal way to spot heat loss and lack of insulation in a residential or industrial building. Changing colours indicate different temperature zones and help to take a course of action to correct the problem. Draft, lack of insulation, structure damage...

Thermal Camera Drone

Our drone, equipped with dual visual and thermal cameras, is the perfect tool to conduct a complete non-intrusive roof and building inspection, not only spotting defects in the surveyed zone, but also detecting areas of heat loss or gain, impossible to materialise by other ways.

Key points of roof aerial thermal assessment:

  • Finding air leakage and locate areas of heat loss or gain

  • Accurately detect and locate air leakage

  • Accurately detect and locate areas of missing or damaged insulation.

Roof Measurement From Aerial Photography mapping

Inspectors and Surveyors looking at cataloguing damage or establishing accurate measurements of distances, pitch, slope, surfaces and volumes of a roof can require us to provide a fully detailed Roof Report (please see below), based on collected data during our dedicated flight over the premises.

Using our dedicated mapping process, taking hundreds of pictures of the roof, we can recreate roof plans when they are missing with 99.4% accuracy in the measurements. Our cloud generated reports, available within a few hours, can be used for many purposes, for instance in a project of tiles replacement, for insurance purpose or solar panels installation.

Please see below this complete roof measurement report we completed within 24 hours of the survey with this technology.
